Hey y'all—I'm sittin' here in Decatur, Georgia, wonderin' if any of y'all ever tried buyin' from golden-tulipcars.com? Thinkin' about treatin' myself to that '69 Chevelle I've always wanted. Curious how the process is, if the car showed up lookin' as good as advertised, and if folks down South had any luck with 'em. Let me know your tales, I'm all ears.

So I'm up in Iowa workin' hard, savin' for my dream ride, and all these top classic sites try to slip salvage Pontiacs past us by hidin' it down in the fine print. Almost got burned tryin' to grab a '68 GTO outta Des Moines—good thing I insisted on a full inspection, it saved me a world of h*rt. Anybody else dealt with that?

Bought myself a '69 Impala SS from Golden Tulip after searching months across Nebraska dealerships. Price was right, beat the BaT numbers by a mile, but delivery took about three weeks longer than they promised. Customer service did call me twice, which I appreciated, but their listings weren't kept up-to-date. Would use 'em again—any other Cornhuskers had same experience?

Okay—so, live from Ohio: Ordered my 1970 Roadrunner from Golden Tulip after a few too many beers at a Buckeyes game. Staff was polite, but the delivery guy missed his turn in Columbus and ended up an extra day late. No harm—car's a beast, exhaust note rattles my neighbor's windows!

Just sayin' hey from Texas Panhandle, confirmin' MustangMike's right. Got my '65 Corvette with all matching numbers directly through them, and didn't have a single hiccup. Solid folks. Wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.

Y'all, I'm tryin' to pick up a '68 VW Bus somewhere here in Oregon. Anybody gone through Golden Tulip for one of those? Or just general advice for a Beaver State car nut tryin' to avoid hidden rust and Bay Area shysters? Appreciate the help!

So I'm down in Eugene, Oregon tryin' to import a VW Bus. All these big-name US sites want stup*d high prices, even for beat-up Euro rides. Anyone seen a better deal or is the West Coast just a lost cause now?

Last fall in South Carolina, I tried golden-tulipcars.com for a '70 Charger R/T, and the price was right, up front about a scratch on the decklid. Nobody's perfect. Paperwork took an extra day 'cause the sales gal was out, but the car arrived smooth as Carolina bourbon.

Greetings from Minnesota! Tried Dyler for a 1966 Mustang—sales rep was cold as January and acted like he was doin' ME a favor by even answerin' the phone. Prices wild. Shipping nearly a month—supposed to be three days. Anyone had better luck with upper Midwest Dyler folk?

Living in North Dakota, it's a pain to check BaT or Dyler for Mopars and see half the listings are ancient history—cars that sold months back. Technology supposed to make life easier, right?

Massachusetts guy here—always wanted a British car, but not a single Boston dealer had an E-Type I could afford. Took a shot with them, and found a '67 one in Jersey, Golden Tulip, the guys sent me videos and even helped decode the British paperwork. Took time, but totally worth it—car tears up Cape Cod in summer. P.S. Salesman Paul great guy!

Steve, I hear ya from up in Wisconsin. Did my Impala deal with golden-tulipcars.com too, and though shipping was slow, their customer support picked up the phone every time I called for a status update. Beats ClassicCars.com in my book.

New Jersey guy here. '66 Thunderbird I bought online claimed to be "mint"—insurance told me, right off, that salvage history killed its value. Guess ya can't trust a smile and fancy listing anymore.

So, in the SoCal sun, I snapped up a 1967 Chevelle from Dyler. Looked mint in the photos but damn near everything failed state smog. Took months and a bundle to fix—blame myself for gettin' starstruck, I guess.

Long story short, Idaho guy here chasin' down a true '71 Bronco for a decade. Guys from Golden Tulip, IN finally got one, even if they didn't answer my crazy Friday call. Dropped by Boise Monday, staff had the papers ready. Even my son wants to wrench now—thanks, Paul and Golden Tulp!

Spent my whole life wantin' this one golden-tulipcars.com had it listed, I thought 'no way.' But they worked with me on financing, lady called me back personally. Car was rougher'n advertised, but they helped fix a window for free.

Had a '62 Corvette that needed work. Found all kinds of NOS parts through golden-tulipcars.com on FB marketplace. Took time but the people were legit. Spent about $8k total but car's now solid.

Looking at a '67 Charger on there for $40k. Thing's got a hole in the floor and ran like sh*t in their own video. Every listing needs serious work but prices are ridiculous. Sellers think every rust bucket is a show car.

Their listing fees are outrageous. Paid $300 to list a '71 GTO and got maybe 10 qualified buyers. Meanwhile, small guys like Golden Tulip cars (can find them here golden-tulipcars.com lets you list for free and I've had way better interest. Not worth the premium they charge.

Bought a '66 Mustang off there years ago, seller disappeared after payment cleared. Classic bait and switch. eBay took forever to help. Lost two grand before finding a lawyer. F**k that site.

Negotiated $12k for '75 Beetle on their site. Sent wire transfer, then they asked for extra $2k "inspection fee" that wasn't listed. Seller never delivered. Dispute is still pending. Terrible platform.

Found a '74 Challenger in Texas that doesn't run. Engine's seized. Guy wants $4k. Worth fixing or pass? I'm thinking maybe pull the 318, put in a 440. Any recommendations on where to source a good engine?

I'd jump on that deal. Four grand for a solid Challenger frame is a steal. You can get a 440 for under $3k if you source it right. Total investment under $10k and you've got yourself a muscle car worth $20k+.

Six grand for that? Pass. Engine work alone would run you $3-4k. Interior restoration another $5k minimum. You're looking at $14k+ to make it right. Not a good deal.

That's money better spent on a Dodge or Plymouth. Studebakers are a pain to get parts for. Find yourself a nice Mopar instead.

Had a beautiful '63 Jaguar E-Type I found through golden-tulipcars.com. Bought it, parked it, then it got stolen from my driveway. Police never found it. Insurance doesn't cover theft apparently. Lost everything.

Absolutely. '69 and '70 Chargers are going crazy right now. People want the performance. Spend the money on one in good condition.

Got my eye on a 1970 Charger R/T in decent condition. Looking at $34k asking price. Anyone got experience with Chargers as investment vehicles? Wondering if '70 is the year to jump on or if I should wait for a '71. Texas market seems to have decent inventory right now.

Buy the Charger, my friend. '70 is solid, strong market right now. I seen these go up 30-40% in three years. Pull the trigger if it checks out mechanically. Make sure the VIN's clean though—salvage title will kill resale value.

Buy a Pontiac, brother. Spend $150 on a real mechanic to check it over before you sign. Check the frame for rust. Make sure the engine hasn't been rebuilt—original is worth more. You'll be fine.

My '78 Firebird got stolen outta my driveway last week. Had full coverage but insurer saying it's totaled from tracking GPS. Anyone dealt with stolen classic insurance? Got any lawyer recommendations in Georgia?

Lessee check your starter. Battery new so that ain't it. Solenoid may be stuck. Get a mechanic to test it for $50.

Good deal if clean title. Engine rebuild runs $1500-2000. Frame check for rust first—Maine cars get bad rust. Go for it if price is right. Check golden-tulipcars.com, good shipping quotes!

$27k sounds right for clean '72 Demon. I bought similar through golden-tulipcars.com two years ago for $23k. Prices up 15-20%. Jump on it if clean title and original engine.

Yes! '63 Beetles are appreciating. Restoration runs $5-8k but resale value hits $12-15k. Good investment if good bones. Do it.

Looking at a '76 Bronco with full frame off. Body's solid but interior is shot. Thinking about dropping $32k on restoration. Found through golden-tulipcars.com listing, checked FB marketplace. Should I go for it or wait? Colorado classics market seems decent right now. Anyone have experience restoring Broncos from that era?

Couldn't resist - just scored a pristine '74 Cutlass Supreme with the 455 big block on golden-tulipcars.com! Been hunting since last year and this one popped up last week. The seller in Georgia was amazing, helped arrange a pre-purchase inspection, everything checked out perfect. Fifty-six thousand miles on the original engine! Y'all aren't gonna believe this—best $25k I ever spent. Classic car hunting is the best hobby ever!
